Higer Bus Sets Off! Chinese Government Aids Equatorial Guinea

As a coastal country in central and western Africa, Equatorial Guinea has long been among the rank of the least developed countries in the world. Over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Equatorial Guinea and China, the two countries have always stood together and gone hand in hand through storm and stress.



On February 4, as the epidemic broke out, the government of Equatorial Guinea donated USD 2 million to the Chinese government for the battle against the epidemic, as the first African donor. China has always been a generous provider of assistance and support to Equatorial Guinea in various fields such as economy, transportation, and medical care. In mid-August, six Higer buses donated by the Chinese government to Equatorial Guinea were completed and set off for the magical African continent.


In 2015, the Chinese government had already donated a batch of vehicles to Equatorial Guinea. These vehicles are now operated in good condition, and thus more were required by the recipient. This “Official Vehicle Project to Aid Equatorial Guinea” is based on the exchange of notes between the governments of China and Equatorial Guinea on January 11 and 12, 2019, which indicated that the Chinese government is willing to aid Equatorial Guinea with the official vehicle project. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea is the recipient, and the donated official vehicles will serve the government only.



The six official vehicles donated to Equatorial Guinea are KLQ6796 and KLQ6856 produced by Higer Bus. They are classic models developed by Higer Bus thanks to its years of experience in manufacturing medium-duty buses. When explaining why Higer Bus, the relevant responsible person of Aucma, the general contractor of this project, said that as a domestic first-line bus brand, Higer Bus has always maintained a good reputation in the field of buses with its novel appearance and reliable quality. Aucma believed that Higer Bus could surely complete this project as a representative of Made in China.


Since its establishment in 1998, Higer Bus has created a miracle in the industry with an annual production and sales record of over 9,000 medium-duty buses of the Star series. This has established its reputation as “King of Minibuses” in the industry. When it just undertook the project, Higer improved the donated vehicles to adapt to the local special climate environment. Equatorial Guinea has a tropical rainforest climate that is humid, rainy and cloudy. The coast is a long and narrow plain, and the inland is a plateau with an altitude of 500-1,000m. Abundant rain is the source of high humidity that could rust and corrode vehicles easily; the high altitude means thin oxygen that could prevent engines from functioning normally. Since oil products usually meet the Euro-II standards only, the donated vehicles had to be “rough fuel consumers”. The whole vehicle electrophoresis greatly improved the anti-corrosion ability of Higer buses. At the same time, to solve the problem of oil products, Higer’s engineers improved the oil intake system by adding a double coarse filter to strengthen the oil filtering performance. As a result, the donated vehicles were able to consume “coarse oil products”, and the service life of the electronic control injection system was extended.



Now, the six Higer buses loaded with China’s profound affection to Equatorial Guinea, are heading for the destination. It is believed that they will fulfill their mission and become successful additions to the fleet of local public transportation. We also sincerely hope that the friendship between China and Equatorial Guinea will last forever!

3. Impact of failure to provide data

Submissionof data was never mandatory. However, failure to provide the required data,which is marked as required, may prevent us from providing the services orproducts you require, or may cause us to provide the services or products yourequire less than ideal. On the other hand, if the data marked as optional isnot provided, you can obtain the service or receive the product in any case.


4. How do we share your data

We are a company specializing in themanufacture of buses, and subject to compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding datastorage and cross-border transfer of data, data may be shared and passed on tothe trustee, such as: Our subsidiaries, affiliates, and joint ventures, serviceproduct suppliers, authorized resellers, distributors and business partners inor outside the People's Republic of China in which we are directly orindirectly involved have specific contractual obligations and may only use themfor the purposes described above.

Higer Bus CompanyLimited is committed to the researchand development, production, and sales of large, medium and light passengercars, with a market covering nearly 150 countries and regions. In order toprovide you with products or services, your data may be transferred to theterritory of the People's Republic of China, including storing such data indigital or physical databases managed on our behalf. Database management anddata processing are limited to the above data processing purposes, and we willperform the necessary assessments required by laws and regulations and meet therequirements of privacy protection laws to ensure that data is adequatelyprotected.


If you are located in the European Economic Area, we ensure that thecross-border transfer of your personal data is carried out in accordance withapplicable privacy regulations and that appropriate technical and organizationalsafeguards have been established. 6. Retain your personal data

For the purposes stated in the Statement, we will retain and maintain yourpersonal data in our systems and files for the shortest period permitted by lawand regulations, taking into account legal and contractual requirements whenapplicable, unless the storage period is extended for your benefit.


When the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it wasprocessed, the data will be deleted or stored in a form that does not allow theidentification of the data subject.
